Project Kokaihop Mobile App UI Design v2.0
Kokaihop is a lively community of cooking enthusiasts, owned by Mat.se Holding, one of the leading Swedish company advancing in grocery products and food ingredients.
Kokaihop reached us with the intent to upgrade its interface and refurbish the experience to make it an impressive one so as to lift up the user engagement from the base layer where it was just a recipe browsing platform. The aim was to initiate some user interactivity that would become the life of the application.
We set out by streamlining our designs based on a minimalistic approach by following the iOS guidelines and placing the uploaded recipes in the highlights to seek maximum attention. Our main focus was to make the app more intuitive, accessible and easy to use by phasing in features like gamification, creating shopping lists, setting up a timer and simplifying the on-boarding process.
Project Logo & Visual Identity Design
QC is a premium women fashion wear & accessories store in Gothenberg. Established in 1973, QC has been providing highly personalised service and an assortment of high-class international fashion wear to its clients.
With changing times and trends, QC wanted to refresh its identity that resonates well with the modern day user. It also wanted a website where the user gets the option to order online and seek appointment for an in-store fitting session as per her convenience before making the purchase.
After defining the brand personality, we created an identity for the brand that looked modern & minimal and reflected a class. A sleek logo complimented by a visual identity with Blue and Golden as primary colours helped communicate the desired personality which is warm, welcoming and premium.
The e-commerece website was built on Shopify and the feature to seek an appointment for fitting session was added.
The client got an overwhelming response for its new identity from its clients.
Project Mat.se Website Redesign
Mat.se, a leading online grocery store in Sweden approached us for the redesign of its existing website. The project turned into a long relationship followed by various other projects that we did for the parent company.
Mat.se’s requirement was to revamp the design to incorporate new statistical features on its website for tracking consumers’ shopping and consumption behaviours. The objective was to uplift sales by acquiring new customers and recommend products to the existing ones based on their buying behaviours.
While implementing the solution we retained some of the designs from the existing website so that the existing users don’t have to re-learn how to use the site. We not just redesigned the website to add Mat.se’s new features but also enhanced the interface by making it contemporary and aesthetically appealing. We emphasised more on the products by taking a minimal approach and adding a lot of white space.
Project Matglädje Magazine Design

And so, we were overjoyed when we were asked to design Matglädge – a food quarterly for Mat.se. The food photography was done in-house in Mat.se’s Gothenburg office. What an outstanding job it was! Kudos to Michael and Kristin for literally cooking up mouthwatering dishes and photographing them so well.
We took about two months to design the first issue, and we loved each minute of it! The project involved us exploring more than a hundred type combinations, fifty page of design and twenty masthead options. We worked with Anders – Creative Director at Mat.se on this project, and we must admit, the only problem with working on such a project is that one ends up having more than three lunch breaks in a day. 😉

Project Mat.se Photo Recipes App UI Design
Mat.se is one of the leading Online Grocery Stores in Sweden. As a part of their vision of making cooking and ordering easier for its customers Mat.se commissioned us to design a stand alone “Recipe Scanning App”.
The goal of this app was to allow consumers to order ingredients through Mat.se directly from any printed material, such as a recipe book, by scanning it through the Photo Recipe Scanning App. As Mat.se’s main website was still in development, the Photo Recipe app worked as an enabler to blur the lines between offline and online by creating a strong contextual link.
To design this app, we followed the same minimal and clean design language that we had adopted for Mat.se website design. The photo recipe app was an interesting way of scanning a recipe and ordering ingredients directly on Mat.se.
The application also helped users by providing potential information like the remaining quantity from a pack that one could used later. Many such useful pieces of information added to the app allowed the consumer to take valuable buying decisions while purchasing on Mat.se.
